Anna Maria City Pier Centennial and Food and Wine on Pine

This weekend is the Centennial Celebration for the Anna Maria City Pier as well as the Inaugural Food and Wine on Pine event. The Pier Centennial kicks off their celebrations on Friday night at 6pm with a parade and Pier Celebration. On Saturday the Privateers have a party, VIP dinner and Fireworks from 11am - 9pm at the City Pier. Also on Saturday is the first ever Food and Wine on Pine event from 11am - 4pm featuring Food, Wine, Art and Music all along Pine Avenue. The Anna Maria General Store will have a booth in front of the store with great foods and beverages, we will be accompanied by Greenleaf Wisconsin Cheeses and Mixon Farms. Please stop by our booths and say hello!

Expanded Craft Beer Selection

We have recently expanded our Craft Beer selection at the General Store to include over 25 different craft beers from around the world. For our beer enthusiasts, please stop in and try some of our new arrivals such as Magners Irish Cider, Two local (Tampa) beers from Cigar City, Jai Alai and Maduro, Dale's Pale Ale, Harpoon IPA, Magic Hat #9, Southhampton Double White, Ballast Point Amber Ale and Carlsberg Elephant. These are in addition to all of our other craft beers in stock. Why drive down the island or off the island when we have a large selection here for you.

Grand Opening of Pink & Navy and Bella By The Sea

The Anna Maria General Store would like to welcome officially to Pine Avenue, Pink & Navy and Bella By the Sea. They have their Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony tonight at 5pm. Everyone is invited to stop by. They will be providing hors d oeuvres and beverages for your enjoyment. Welcome to Pine Avenue Janae and Joann!

Mixon Farms just brought us in some amazing fresh local fruits for the store. If you love their juices then stop in for some fresh Red Grapefruit, Wonderful Lemons, Tangerines or Naval Oranges.

Tyler's Ice Cream Now Available at the General Store

The Anna Maria General Store would like to welcome a new partnership. Tyler's Homemade Ice Cream on Cortez road! We proudly offer the freshest homemade ice cream in this area to the store. We have several flavors in stock, but as always if you have a special request, we would be glad to order it in special just for you! We have just received a wonderful supply of cakes, cheesecakes, cupcakes and pies from Cindy at Hometown Desserts for the holidays. If you haven't ordered your desserts or you would rather not bake during the holidays, please stop in to get your holiday desserts. The Anna Maria General Store would like to welcome two new businesses to Pine Avenue. Welcome to the Island Cabana at 403C Pine Avenue and Bella By The Sea at 218C Pine Avenue. If you haven't had a chance to stop in and see the two new additions on Pine Avenue, please do they both have wondeful products that everyone could use.

Anna Maria Holiday Open House

The General Store will be participating in the Anna Maria Holiday Open House on Friday, December 10th starting at 5pm. We will be decorating the store and giving out beverages and treats to all that stop by. Other activities sponsored by the Anna Maria Historical Society and AMI Sun Newspaper include... A visit with Santa Claus, an outdoor movie, a treasure hunt, a holiday window decorating contest, live music, food and festive cheer. So come down to kick off the holidays with the Anna Maria General Store starting at 5pm on Friday, December 10th

Holiday Open House and Christmas Parade

The AMI Chamber is having its Holiday Open House and Christmas Parade Friday, December 3rd. The Parade starts promptly at 5pm at CrossPoint Fellowship Church and goes to the Island Shopping Center in downtown Holmes Beach.

Anna Maria Historic Green Village

Exciting stuff is happening just down the road from us, as the Anna Maria Historic Green Village continues to take shape. The beautiful Sears Cottage that was donated and moved from its original place to this new site, looks truly settled on its new foundations, and the Rosedale Cottage next door is looking good too. We've been told that February and March is when both of these historic buildings will be finished. We'll keep you posted!
